Executive Director

Kimberly has been serving our seniors at the Gracemont community since 2017. In 2005, after receiving her master’s degree in Gerontology from Appalachian State University, Kimberly began her journey in senior care as an Activity’s Director in an assisted living community. She then progressed to Business Office Manager, Memory Care Coordinator, and on to her current role as Executive Director of the Oaks at Gracemont.

Kimberly was initially drawn to senior living after her grandmother was diagnosed with vascular dementia. “I saw the struggle with my own mother trying to take care of her mom as well as maintain involvement with me during my high school years.” She spent a large portion of her years in senior living working in memory care because of the sacrifice she witnessed her mom make to serve her own mother as well as Kimberly. “Memory care holds a very special place in my heart because of my grandmothers’ story.” Kimberly has allowed the testimony of her grandmother to be the fuel for her love and compassion towards her community of residents.

Outside of the Oaks at Gracemont, Kimberly spends most of her time with her family. She is married with three beautiful and healthy children. Even her family is a product of her devotion to senior living as Kimberly and her husband met while working at an assisted living community. She was Memory Care Coordinator while he was a Director of Resident Care. Serving seniors makes up the very fabric of Kimberly’s family. In her free time, Kimberly is attending her boy’s baseball and football games or is enjoying time outside with her loved ones.

Kimberly sees her role in senior care as a blessing. She loves being able to make a difference in someone’s life. “To me it is not just the resident but also their families. I absolutely love what I do and I am honored that I have the opportunity of being a part of the Oaks Senior Living Family.”
