Executive Director

Tammy Siegner has always had a true passion for caring for people. It started at a young age when she used to volunteer at Beaufort Memorial Hospital, in Beaufort South Carolina. Tammy would provide a variety of services as a volunteer and helped patients have a more pleasant stay at the hospital.

Tammy’s younger days spent at Beaufort Memorial created a growing desire to work in an environment where she could offer care to someone in need. “Deep in my heart I knew I wanted to be a nurse. I always thought I would be employed as a Medical Surgical Nurse, but God had a different plan for me.”

In 2003 Tammy became a Resident Service Director at an assisted living community in Beaufort.
As she continued in her role as Resident Service Director, she was encouraged by her team members to get her Carolina Community Residential Care Facilities license. The outstanding level of care and service she provided positioned her to utilize her license and take the role of Executive Director. She has now been Executive Director with the community, now known as Oaks at Salem Road, for 16 years.

When Tammy is not at work, she enjoys reading on her kindle and camping in her “She Shed” on wheels. She has three beautiful adult children, Emily, Mandy and Logan with whom she loves being able to share time with.

Tammy is extremely grateful to, still to this day, steward the role of Executive Director. “It’s an honor and a blessing to serve the residents, families and staff at Oaks at Salem Road.” For many years she has allowed this quote by Maya Angelou inspire her work, “I’ve learned that people may forget what you say, people may forget what you do, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” For Tammy, creating an environment where residents feel welcomed, cared for, and loved is the ultimate goal.
