When I was four years old, I remember going to visit my great granddad “Big Daddy” in a nursing home. He was an ornery old man, but for some reason, he was always sweet to me and genuinely excited to see me. Everyone in the family was surprised at how he responded to me because he had never been that way with anyone else. Throughout childhood and adolescence, I had many opportunities to visit with seniors. I always felt a connection and enjoyed the interaction.
I graduated from college in 1999 and was blessed to find a job in the senior care industry. My career started as an Activities Director, then I became a Resident Director, and then moved into the Community Relations Director role. I love being able to serve seniors daily. I am excited as to what the future holds with Oaks Senior Living. I am honored to be a part of such an amazing company whose culture and values align with mine – a company with a heart for the elderly and a passion for giving seniors the best possible quality of life. To be able to be a resource, advocate, and friend is incredibly fulfilling and I look forward to serving my hometown in this role for many years to come.
