Changing the way the world ages by embracing a person-directed lifestyle.
The person-directed lifestyle that we implement throughout all Oaks Senior Living communities in Georgia and South Carolina seeks to know, understand, and honor the life history and personal preferences of each individual while building relationships. This lifestyle yields choice in daily routine and a desire to provide care from a different perspective.
We acknowledge that consistency in our care partner program creates an environment in which residents thrive, encouraging our team to intimately know each person through meaningful interaction. At Oaks Senior Living, we are committed to changing the way people age. Each day is an opportunity for growth, to enjoy what has always brought us happiness, and an allowance for new life experiences.
A Sense of Purpose
Uniqueness and Strengths
Designated Care Partners
It is an essential human desire to feel secure and seek out familiarity, especially during moments of transition or change. By consistently assigning care partners to residents based on compatibility and resident choice, true care partnerships are created, allowing care partners to take a proactive approach to caregiving, anticipating the resident’s needs instead of reacting to requests. This relationship also allows residents to know their care is being provided by someone that they trust. We learn about the small details that differentiate us as individuals, creating empathy and warmth. This insight gained through trusting relationships contributes to our mission of a person-directed lifestyle.
Oaks Senior Living embraces a multigenerational approach by creating a “family-like” culture among residents, their families, our team members, and volunteers. Local daycare centers, schools, churches, and organizations are a familiar sight in our communities, bridging the gap and cultivating joyful relationships between multiple generations.
Pet Therapy Program
Many seniors experience loneliness. Fostering companions between residents and our furry friends not only combats this loneliness, but it also gives many residents a sense of purpose. Each Oaks Senior Living community has a house pet, fish aquarium, and an aviary with singing, vibrant birds. Our pet therapy program enhances the home-like atmosphere that we believe is powerful and necessary to a person’s quality of life.
The dining experience at Oaks Senior Living is one that aims to bring residents closer and provide choice. Residents often share stories and memories, establishing many close friendships, around the table, but this does not have to happen only at specific mealtimes. At Oaks Senior Living, we offer all-day dining services. Residents can plan and schedule their days doing what they want and when they want without having to worry about being present for scheduled mealtimes.
