Oaks at Post Road Staff Highlight – Hope Mack

As we are well into 2016, we would like to take a few minutes to reflect and give an online shout out to our 2015 employee of the year. Oaks Senior Living caregivers do a tremendous service for our loved ones and so we will continue to recognize their work.

Hope Mack was born and raised in Pinellas Park, Florida. With her extensive dance training, she traveled all over the US, as well as Europe and the US Virgin Islands, performing and touring in a dance group. She also was one-half of the Ballroom Dance Team on Holland America Cruise Lines on the San Francisco/Acapulco route.

Hope met her husband and best friend, Kelvin, on a blind date, and they are still like newlyweds after 23 years of marriage. She was blessed with a son, Joe, in 1994 and to this day, she says her “guys” are her world!

After moving to Cumming in 2014 to be closer to family, and in search of a job, she came across Oaks at Post Road. Hope put her strong faith in God and knew He would lead her to where she was supposed to be. Eventually she knew exactly where she was meant to be. Post Road has become her new home and found the love and support her heart desired from the Oaks’ family.

Upon completion of her certificates, she hopes to pursue an LPN degree, focusing on geriatric nursing with a focus on dementia. On her spare time, Hope loves to cook, is an avid reader, and loves all the great classic movies shown on TCM.
