Brittany Kinard

Executive Director

Brittany Kinard has lived in Greenville all her life but specifically in Simpsonville for 13 years. From the age of five, Brittany knew that she would be taking care of people in some manner. She was so intrigued by hospitals and nurses, due to watching Doogie Howser, MD as a child.

Coming from a nursing background, Mrs. Kinard has experienced all aspects of senior living, from home health, hospice, rehabilitation, and long-term care communities. After spending time in these various fields, she found that memory care was where she was called. Her love for memory care grew as she personally took care of her grandmother, who had Alzheimer’s, till her passing. As Brittany continues to witness the battle that individuals have to endure against Alzheimer’s and Dementia, her passion for her role at the Oaks grows. “Each day I understand more and more the care and love this community needs.”

In transitioning from a nurse to an Executive Director, she continues caring for her residents on the administration side. She is, and has always been, a strong advocate for residents’ rights. In making sure all residents are well taken care of, Brittany ensures that her team members understand the work they are doing and prioritize offering superb care to their residents.

When she isn’t at her community, Brittany is with her family of six at home. Her husband, James Kinard, and five children keep her on the move at all times. From being a football mom, traveling, relaxing with a bit of tv, and trying new things from activities to food, Brittany loves to keep moving and having fun.

As Brittany continues to grow, she has become more aware of the value of her spirituality. She knows that none of her accomplishments could have been achieved without God by her side. Those who work with her know her most by her famous quote, “Well, look at God and all his miracles.” Her journey is a true testament to his works, and she is ever so grateful for the opportunity to serve her community.
